Okay well it seems I’ve been caught into a community denim project again, this one revolving around 13 people wearing the same pair of jeans for a month each one after another, the catch is of course that everyone is situated on different corners of the globe.

I am the Australian representative and the jeans we are using are The Flat Head 3001 in a size 32, which is actually too big for me but i only have to wear them for a month so it should be okay!

Heres the alotting order.

5. October - Largo (Thailand)
6. November - Cotton Duck (Amsterdam)

9. February - adsurgo (NJ, visiting Japan)
10. March - ordo (Vancouver)
11. April - PG2G (LA, maybe visiting Japan)
12. May - Mrip (San Jose)
13. June - fallen_angels (San Fran)

So I’m third and will be receiving my jeans in August and wearing them a month in before the Skull Jeans Contest, HEKTIK. I think there are little journals being passed around in the jeans where you stick your customs stamps in it and write about what you did in the jeans along with including little mementos of where you went or something indicative of your country/region. My part will probably be full of bus tickets and some crappy loose change but it should be interesting to see how the wear is after things have finished up in June next year.

I think youre supposed to take the jeans everywhere and act like a tourist in your own town and take heaps of pictures, everything thats collected goes back to Self Edge in San Fran for display once the tours finished which is most appropriate since they are sponsoring us with basically 300 dollar jeans.

In the beginning i was thinking of doing this like Lukes Top Ten which i may or not not end up doing depending on how this thing goes.

Well to start things off lets look at my recent top 25 most played for the past 2 years as per Itunes. This is fucked though mainly because everytime i format my computer and put the songs in this thing resets and also sometimes i go out and just mute my speakers and songs get played constantly for 8 hours or more AND some songs are longer/shorter than others which affects things as well.

None the less here it is to put things in better perspective.

Well actually i washed them ages ago after a fishing “accident” in adelaide which completely fcked my jeans hard, should have dry cleaned i guess. so 7 months of wear and this is it. Oh well, try again with the next pair.

Well i guess its just “okay” but the dye job on these ralfs wasnt too good, lost so much colour even after the first cold wash back in radelaide.

Kind of a big change to how i first got them though, think i have an old old picture somewhere. You can see how stiff they were when i got them by looking at the hems which remain circular even though they are lying on the ground. Overall I’m kinda pissed i had to wash them in adelaide but wateva. Throw these in da trash!
