15 December - we head out from Sydney.

We had a brilliant view of the local KFC from our rooms: (7:11am)

On the F3, the hills make way for the road. (9:22am)

There were a few high bridges with cool views but travelling at high speeds and having high railings doesn’t make good photos (9:26am):

Coffs Harbour, 3:50pm:

The Big Banana was disappointing.

Especially when there was a real banana plantation nearby.

We did get to pass over some cool bridges though.

The general scenery was more interesting than the drive from Melbourne to Sydney.

We passed a car accident, that might have been pretty bad, but unlike the rest of the group, I wasn’t so eager to stick out a huge camera and snap away under the noses of several police working to clear the accident.

The Big Prawn was much more impressive compared to the Big Banana.

We went through a fairly hilly section with awesome views. Couldn’t really capture it on camera from a moving car though. If I were to do this all over again, I’d make lots of stops just for the sake of photography.

Somewhere near Byron Bay. I had no idea what that other white car with Victorian plates was doing, through sheer coincidence it seemed to follow us on our trip up. It even stopped at the same places we stopped at to eat and fuel.

No more pictures until we eventually arrived, and it was 11pm by the time we worked out how to check in and so on.

The only night skyline photo I bothered with. I know I specialise in photographing skylines at night but it’s time consuming, and it’s a solitary thing.
